Station 78 responded to MVC SUV versus school bus 1 fatality

Tue. Mar 31st 2009

LCFR Station 78 and LCEMS responded to report of MVC SUV versus Levy county school bus. LCFR's 78-15 was en route to his full time job as a Firefighter / Paramedic with Marion County Fire Rescue when he came across the MVC. He arrived as LCSO also was arriving. The driver of the car was heavily trapped in her car. While assessing the scene the baby was brought to FF Rinaudo to treat her for her injuries. LCEMS Med 4 took the child to Shands for treatment. LCFR 78, Rainbow Lakes Fire dept remained on scene for extrication.
