LCFR Overview

Mission Statement: Levy County Fire Rescue (LCFR) is a volunteer fire rescue department dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of the community, providing excellent service to the citizens of Levy County.

LCFR is the largest fire rescue department in Levy County. Our primary zone coverage includes Morriston, Montebrook, Gulf Hammock and Lebanon Station. We provide mutual aid to all of the surrounding departments in Levy County, as well as our surrounding counties. We serve these communities with 3 fire stations. Station 78-1 is located on Highway 326 East of Highway 41. Station 78-2 is located on Hwy 121 North of Highway 326. Station 78-3 is located on Hwy 326 West of US 19. LCFR has 30 fully dedicated members. Your Firefighters are Florida State certified Firefighter/First Responders, Firefighter/EMTs, Firefighter/Paramedics, single certification EMTs, Paramedics, Fire Service Instructors, Live Fire Service Instructors, Hazardous Material Technicians, Hazardous Materials Instructor and Fire Safety Inspectors. We serve and respond to an average of 400 emergencies a year.

Your Firefighters have the skills and equipment to respond to structure, brush and vehicle fires; medical emergencies involving cardiac arrest, respiratory distress and trauma; vehicle accidents requiring extrication; hazardous materials incidents; natural disasters and many other emergencies.

When not responding to 9-1-1 calls, your LCFR firefighters are maintaining all the equipment and Stations. We are also training for worst case scenarios. We have weekly training at one of our 3 Fire stations. This training consists of Medical treatment skills, Fire attack skills, Equipment orientation, new member training and continued education such as Haz-Mat refresher, Infectious diseases and CPR.

LCFR is a department of county government, accountable to a county administrator, five elected commissioners and thousands of citizens, all with a wide range of perspectives. The leaders of Levy County believe if our citizens have access to a reliable and professional Emergency Care Provider you can lead a healthier, safer life.
